This is our third FREE 3D render competition, with each one growing from strength to strength. We had a huge response to the competition and we are proud to announce that the lucky winner is Claridge Architects.

Our competition proves to be invaluable to the chosen winners as we visualize their designs in a photo-realistic manner and style.

We look forward to seeing what type of project our winner submits for us to visualize in 3D and of course, we will make sure to post about it once it is complete. Make sure to stay following us for up to date news, project reports, competitions and much more.

This is a link to all the drawings for the upcoming Chinese development planned for Athlone (http://bit.ly/KpYThK). The project will be built on a 137-hectare site at Creggan. The centre, with a price tag of €175m, will promote trade and business between China, Europe and the US. Thanks to Frank Cooney architecture for the link. Wonder will any Irish design firms get to work on the project…cough cough!

Lady Luck Shines on 3rd Dimension

We have started a new house project based in Florida for Yates Rainho Archictects, with whom we have worked with on numerous projects in the past. The digital 3D modeling of the house, with an address of Lady Luck Road, has commenced and is soon to be handed over to our 3D artist. Above is an aerial view of the site plan for the house.

We have a great relationship with Yates Rainho and have worked on numerous projects with them in the past. Below are some of the projects that we have collaborated on with them. All of the team here at 3rd Dimension are looking forward to bringing this new house to life.

There is probably very few photos, if any at all, of Grand Canal Plaza like these. The reason being their unique viewpoints. We were lucky enough to have the oppurtunity to take such great shots following a recent site visit to Grand Canal Hotel….Yes the checkered building in Grand Canal Dock!. We are currently working on a project that is sure to generate a bit of excitment and plenty of interest if in reality it materialises. The project is a great addition to our portfolio and one that will show off the talent of our 3D Artists. We will keep you posted.

Following the huge success of our previous 3D Render competitions we we are delighted to announce the start of a new one. For the month of April we will be accepting entries. Our 3D Visualisation of the month for March comes courtesy of our 2nd competition winner Lynch Architecture. Taking one of his designs and been afforded artistic license on the environment and time of day, allowed us to be a bit more creative and produce this evening scene. The rendering is comprised of our digital 3D model of the house with the two tall tress behind and the environment photo. Very few comments came back on this project which is also a sign that we have understood the brief well and produced good work.

A new competition will be announced next week (we promise…..even though it was supposed to be last week!) so make sure to keep your eyes peeled and enter.

With the return of Brian O’Driscoll to the Leinster lineup tonight we thought it apt that we show you where he and his team mates will be training in the not too distant future. We were commissioned by the Leinster branch through the project architects to produce 2x interior CGI’s of how the proposed new gym facilities will look. For the most part we followed the architectural design however we were afforded artistic license for certain elements such as the flooring design.  It will be interesting to see if they include the Leinster logo on the floor as we have it. The new facilities will be built on the UCD campus just up the road from their grounds in Ballsbridge. It was a great project to work on due to the interior design and layout and if we are being honest because we are Leinster supporters. Good luck to the lads tonight and to Brad Thorn on his debut. C’mon Leinster!

This stunning interior architecture is designed by Adam Architecture and was the room that was submitted to be visualised in 3D as part of their competition win with 3rd Dimension.

Accurately illustrating the architectural detail in this hallway was very important to our competition winners Adam Architecture. Despite the fact that the image was for a competition win our high standards and attention to detail were not compromised.  Having such intricate architectural detail in an image really punches it out and brings something extra special to it.  We are also close to completion on the CGI for our second competition winner Lynch Architecture.

A Wonderful Barn!

Following our most recent 3D render competition,  Lynch Architecture (the lucky winners) have submitted their design.

A very interesting house design that is sure to look amazing once it has been visualised. We have agreed to produce an early evening moody style shot that depicts the proposed materials of the house while selling it’s design. We plan to take a shot from the SW corner in order to show off the large bay window on the ground floor. It was also great to receive a set of drawings that matched up perfectly! We are not sure though if the design is a stand alone one of a retorfit to an existing property. I am sure we will find out soon enough.

We have also just finished work on the previous competition winner’s project. Adam Architecture submitted a stunning & magnificent architecturally designed hallway which we will be posting tomorrow.
